ADL event within DEEP Ukraine

Serhiy Korolyov Zhytomyr Military Institute (ZMI) hosted, September 24-28, the NATO DEEP ADL Ukraine event focused on the development of the cybersecurity course inspired by the Reference Curriculum (RC). Also short ADL workshop was carried out, by two members of the NATO DEEP team, from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Branch in Ełk): Assoc. Prof. Piotr Gawliczek (lead) and Mr. Marcin Jóźwiak (co-lead). There were five persons selected from the UKR side to participate in the workshop on ADL course development. During the first day, the leaders have focused on general instruction on LMS ILIAS, presenting its basic features, user interface, content organization (groups, folders), test development (test, question pool), survey development (survey, question pool). The second day of workshops was devoted to content creation using ILIAS Scorm Editor. Learners had a chance to get to know the tool and practice under instructor’s guidance. The last day of workshops resulted in a group activity. Attendees commonly worked on e-learning course. The tangible product: "Cybersecurity Awareness  Micro Course – 10 Principles of Cybersecurity" is available on the NATO DEEP portal (currently only UKR version, to be translated into English in due time). The certificates of participation and completion were handed out on the last day of the event by the Deputy Chief of Academic Research Work of ZMI – COL Ihor Sashchuk.
